About The Artist

Laura is a quilter, designer, deal hunter, and homeschooling mom of three boys. She's also an ex-math teacher - and with a last name like Piland - there's a strong love of pi in her house! Laura has been designing and publishing quilt patterns since 2016, including the popular Exploding Heart quilt. She loves teaching both kids and adults to quilt and is passionate about making quilting fun, creative, and approachable.
